Neighborhood Allies Launches Catalytic Grant Program

Sep 26, 2014

On September 24, 2014, we filled a huge room with passionate and diverse neighborhood leaders with bright ideas, as 20140924_150328we kicked off the fall 2014 Catalytic Grant Funding Round. This grant round represents the first Catalytic Awards that we will make as Neighborhood Allies, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey of revitalizing our neighborhoods with so many allies, old and new.

Over 100 people came to the informational session, where we shared our vision for a better, more equitable and diverse Pittsburgh, and received great feedback on how we begin to work together to make that vision a reality. The session outlined the process and intent of the Catalytic Grants Program, which will offer grants between $25,000-$75,000 for innovative, creative and inspiring ideas that make our neighborhoods healthier, safer and stronger. Neighborhood Allies will allocate up to $1.5 M directly into neighborhood investments through this program in 2014.
