Investing in Catalytic Projects & Programs
The Heinz Endowments has been a generous supporter of Neighborhood Allies and helped to ensure a smooth transition from PPND, our predecessor over the past two years. In 2015, the Endowments provided a $450,000 grant to support our organizational growth, fellowship program, Financial Opportunity Centers, and expansion of our roles in community action planning, investing, and evaluation. Two additional grants were made: $230,000 to support our temporary public art project; and $20,000 for consultant fees to assess the feasibility of local projects to compete for federal grants. In 2016, four grants were made: $400,000 to implement the p4 project; $306,969 for Building Communities in the Hilltop Neighborhoods; $50,000 for p4 planning; and $50,000 for Penn Plaza relocation administration.
Thank you, Heinz Endowments for your ongoing and generous support of work!
