$50K Grant from PNC Foundation will support Equitable Opportunities for Building Wealth

Sep 6, 2022

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the PNC Foundation for their generous $50,000 grant that will help Neighborhood Allies implement our economic opportunity work that addresses racial, gender, and geographic inequities in income, wealth, and opportunity.

With this additional investment, we will serve an additional 1,000 through youth workforce, 500 through Fund My Future, 450 through Money Talks, and 300 through the Financial Empowerment Center!

  1. The Asset Building Network connects local social service providers, government agencies, and financial institutions to increase financial stability and build wealth.
  2. The Financial Empowerment Center offers free, one-on-one financial counseling by trained and certified counselors.
  3. Bank On Allegheny County promotes safe, affordable accounts with financial institutions and connects un-banked and under-banked youth and adults to those resources.
  4. Fund My Future PGH, a children’s savings program, brings incentives and reminders to save with a monthly raffle to over 4,000 families.
  5. Money Talks increases the confidence and knowledge of Black women to build wealth by investing.

Our work would not be possible without the tremendous support of funders like the PNC Foundation. Thank you for your commitment and investment as we engage Pittsburgh area residents and organizations with innovative tools that expand opportunity for transformative community change.
