Thank you to our allies at Staunton Farm Foundation for your support!
Many of our residents face a continuum of barriers, stress and oftentimes, are impacted by traumatic experiences. To begin to address these issues, Neighborhood Allies is creating a two-year Community Trauma Fellowship to help strengthen ongoing efforts to advance trauma awareness in community building and facilitate access to behavioral health services at the neighborhood level.
A $100,000 grant from Staunton Farm Foundation will support this Fellowship, which will expand our collective understanding within the area of trauma by deeply researching, examining and strategizing a more comprehensive approach to neighborhood development in order to address long-term, deeply rooted, systemic issues affecting our communities.
The Community Trauma Fellow will be a mid-career professional with clinical experience and a background in social work. By the end of the two-year fellowship, we will use and share a model to approach community building with a deep understanding of trauma at both the individual and community levels.
Thank you Staunton Farm Foundation for your generous support!
