Artist Sasha Igwe creates artworks for Community Learning Centers in Homewood

Sasha designed and executed two beautiful art pieces that are now displayed in the soon-to-be launched Homewood-Brushton Youth Learning Center and Homewood-Brushton Adult Learning Center! These centers are located at the Homewood-Brushton YMCA and CCAC Homewood-Brushton Center, respectively. The centers are a vital part of our Digital Inclusion work and will help our community partners provide additional digital resources and education to residents.

The process to commission these pieces began in July with our Call for Artists and culminated in mid-November when Sasha hung her finished works in each space!

The goal of the learning centers is to provide community residents access to digital skills training, STEM education, career development, and small business/entrepreneurship education leveraging advanced technologies. We are thrilled to have added some amazing artwork to the space and be on step closer to launching these exciting new spaces!
