Fund My Future PGH Celebrates 10 Years of Children’s Savings

May 26, 2023

On Wednesday, May 24th, Fund My Future PGH celebrated its 10-Year Anniversary with a special event, stellar speakers, and a Proclamation from the Mayor’s office declaring May 24th Fund My Future PGH Day.

At the event, we presented two Community Partner Awards to Beverly’s Birthdays and A+ Schools for their work helping families get connected to us. We also presented an Outstanding Participant Award to the Honorable JoeLisa McDonald, Mayor of Rankin, and an Outstanding Student Award to Jhordan Price, a former Propel Schools student who participated in Fund My Future from a young age. Finally, we heard from two of our sponsors and supporters, Dollar Bank and The Benter Foundation, who received Champion Awards for their years-long support. Other speakers included Jeremy Resnick, who originated the program first at Propel Schools and shared a 10-year history, and First Lady of Pittsburgh Michelle Gainey, who was last year’s Outstanding Participant awardee. Each speaker shared heartfelt gratitude for the program and its impacts.

Over the past few years, we have been incredibly proud to call Fund My Future PGH a program of Neighborhood Allies under our Economic Opportunity department. We can’t wait to see what the next 10 years hold!

Help us reach our next milestone of 5,000 families enrolled! Go to fundmyfuturepgh.org to take the pledge!
