Fund My Future PGH Secures $90,000 Grant from National Foundation

Mar 22, 2022

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Annie E. Casey Foundation for their generous $90,000 grant that will help Neighborhood Allies foster Economic Opportunity through Fund My Future PGH throughout 2022.

In 2022, we will expand Fund My Future PGH’s reach and more fully integrate the program into our other Economic Opportunity initiatives, such as the Pittsburgh Financial Empowerment Center, Bank On Allegheny County, a newly launched investment club for Black women, and our work to expand digital inclusion for children and youth by:

  • Promoting long-term saving for children with disabilities through Pennsylvania Treasury’s PA ABLE program that allows families to save without risking the loss of benefits
  • Continuing to adjust our messaging, supports, and incentives we offer to encourage both account opening and regular deposit activity
  • Developing contextualized financial education and financial empowerment opportunities for children, youth, and families

Our work would not be possible without the tremendous support of funders like the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Thank you for your continued commitment and investment as we engage Pittsburgh area residents and organizations with innovative tools that expand opportunity for transformative community change!
