Since 2019, Neighborhood Allies has invested in educational science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) programming at neighborhood community centers in the Hill District and Homewood as part of our Digital Inclusion programming. A generous grant from the PPG Foundation will leverage this work by bridging the educational-workforce gap early on, by connecting young people with diverse professionals who look like them so they know more STEAM educational and career options are available.

With this new partnership, over 200 low-income youth will experience hands-on STEAM activities such as 3D printing, laser cutting, coding, chemistry experiments, and testing scientific theory.
