Leadership Pittsburgh, Inc. Gains Two New Allies!

Aug 4, 2016

Presley Gillespie and Doni Crawford will be joining the Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. (LPI) network of leaders in Pittsburgh!

Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. has been strengthening regional leadership through programs, partnerships and connections for over 30 years. They have built a network of more than 2,000 influential civic leaders working to maximize the potential of our community. Now two of our own, Presley and Doni, have been nominated and selected to join this network of leaders. They will be participating in the 2016-17 classes of Leadership Pittsburgh (LP) and Leadership Development Initiative (LDI), respectively.

LPI and Neighborhood Allies have a rich history of working together to identify, nurture and connect local leaders to community building initiatives and organizations. One of the ways we do that is PopUp! Pittsburgh. Every year, our organizations collaborate on this initiative by  working together to select a neighborhood and build strong neighborhood and resident connections so that the cohort of young leaders in LDI are positioned to effectively implement an event that will truly lift up and inspire a community and its residents. Last year, a successful PopUp! in Wilkinsburg attracted nearly 200 people to see and experience the good things happening in the neighborhood, which were showcased through art, music and food.
