Neighborhood Allies Receives $100,000 Grant from Hopper-Dean Family Fund through National Philanthropic Trust

Feb 18, 2022

Thank you to Jeffrey A. Dean and Heidi Hopper for their generous contribution! This grant will help us continue fulfilling our mission of engaging Pittsburgh area residents and organizations with innovative tools that expand opportunity for transformative community change.

We are thrilled to receive this charitable grant from the donor-advised fund of Jeffery A. Dean and Heidi Hopper through the National Philanthropic Trust. A donor-advised fund is a giving account established at a public charity that allows donors to make charitable contributions and then recommend grants to their favorite organizations from the fund over time.

We will use these funds to increase our abilities and know-how across our programming in order to best serve our community. Our programming spans four main areas:

  • Revitalizing neighborhoods
  • Fostering Economic Opportunity
  • Building capacity
  • Advancing equity

Within these areas, each of our programs and initiatives connect people to the resources they need to create positive change in their neighborhoods. With contributions such as this one, we can continue helping to eliminate barriers by uplifting creative community ideas and creating pathways of opportunity that lead to healthy neighborhoods.
