Please join us in welcoming Mukesh as our Summer Fellow!
We’re thrilled to welcome Mukesh Bastola as our 2025 Public Interest Technology (PIT) Summer Fellow!
Mukesh is a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College, where he is pursuing a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management. This summer, he is working with the Digital Inclusion (DI) team at Neighborhood Allies, supporting data collection, analysis, and evaluation efforts across several community-driven projects.
The PIT Summer Fellowship is a new initiative from CMU’s Heinz College that places Public Policy and Management graduate students with partner organizations to interpret, visualize, and analyze data. Fellows help improve processes, evaluate programs, and generate recommendations across public domains. The program includes a robust summer internship, professional development, and networking opportunities—while providing organizations with valuable quantitative expertise.
Mukesh will work closely with our Digital Inclusion & Innovation team on projects tied to our adult digital skills programming and other initiatives under the Economic Mobility umbrella.
Originally from Nepal, Mukesh brings a global perspective and a deep commitment to equity and inclusion. His academic and professional interests span nonprofit work, migration, social policy, and international development. Outside of data and policy work, he enjoys traveling, hiking scenic trails, photographing the world through his phone, and watching sunsets.
Please help us give Mukesh a warm welcome to the Neighborhood Allies team!
