- Client: Millvale Community Development Corporation
- Neighborhood: Millvale
- Address: Corner of Meade St. and E. Ohio St.
- Timeline: September 2022 – August 2023
April 2022, Neighborhood Allies staff participated in Millvale’s Earth Day festivities by cleaning a vacant lot and planting trees. This lot would become the Rainbow Raccoon Park, an accessible play space for all. Dubbed by the youth of Millvale, this play space has many accessible play elements for all ages. The design is the result of direct community input, youth engagement, and several shared iterations with the MCDC board and community members during their monthly meetings. At the heart of the project is the rainbow raccoon; a play structure envisioned by local students.
