We are delighted to announce that Shad Henderson, our Senior Director of Public and Private Partnerships, has been selected to serve on the University of Pittsburgh Institute of Politics’ Community and Economic Development Committee. The Committee, chaired by Imbutec CEO Richard Taylor and Venango County Commissioner Chip Abramovic, will convene to examine 1) how economic development initiatives can be deployed strategically and regionally across stakeholder groups, and 2) how local governments can be key players in this process with the assistance of technical assistance centers, or hubs.
Neighborhood Allies is very pleased to continue its strong partnership with the University of Pittsburgh through this new endeavor. The Institute of Politics has a proud 30+ year history of convening elected officials from all levels of government, and from both sides of the aisle, to foster better understandings of, and to develop effective strategies to address issues that are important to our home region. One of the ways this is achieved is through their policy committees, which are comprised of stakeholders from a variety of sectors who work together to find common-sense, common-ground solutions to challenging problems.
