Ashley is the Senior Program Manager of Economic Opportunity. In this role, she assists in supporting Economic Opportunity programs in advancing Neighborhood Allies’ Economic Opportunity initiatives, aimed at empowering individuals and families to enhance their financial well-being Ashley oversees the implementation and expansion of various programs such as the Asset Building Network, Bank On Allegheny County, and the Allegheny County Financial Empowerment Center.  

Prior to joining Neighborhood Allies, Ashley McLean served as a Wellness Program Coordinator at Allegheny County Department of Human Services. In this role, she co-developed and implemented a comprehensive staff wellness program, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate wellness practices into the organizational culture. Ashley’s dedication to holistic well-being earned her the 2023 Good Apple award for her outstanding contributions to staff wellness. Prior to this, Ashley provided technical assistance, training, and maintenance for the Allegheny County Family Support Centers Synergy database.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Ashley is a passionate herbalist committed to empowering her community through herbal education. She shares her extensive expertise on herbs, offering valuable training and insights into their importance and practical applications.

Ashley’s educational journey reflects her unwavering commitment to learning and growth. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from California University of Pennsylvania in 2010, followed by a Master of Science in Law & Public Policy from the same institution in 2012. These academic achievements have equipped Ashley with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that she continues to apply in her career. Her educational experiences have instilled in her a deep passion for addressing societal issues and a relentless drive to effect positive change in her community.
