Demi Kolke is our Director of Community Investments. In this role, she serves on the Real Estate Team where she is responsible for project management including but not limited to grant-writing for public funding sources, advising on zoning and permitting matters, connection and relationship-building with community groups, and general project oversight. Additionally, Demi is our small business department of one, operating our Get Online Grow Online (GOGO) program to bring much-needed resources to solo entrepreneurs and small minority and woman owned businesses.
She has served the neighborhood of Homewood for 15 years, first at the Homewood-Brushton YMCA, then several years at Operation Better Block, Inc. creating programs for homeowner stabilization and resident-driven neighborhood revitalization. Her most recent position as a Senior Planner for the City of Pittsburgh gave her an opportunity to advocate for and enact policy that would further enhance her previous work. Demi has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from North Dakota State University.
