We are thrilled to celebrate our own Demi Kolke, Director of Community Investments, on being named to Pittsburgh Magazine’s 2026 “40 Under 40” class!

Each year, Pittsburgh Magazine recognizes 40 people under the age of 40 whose leadership, accomplishments, and commitment are making an impact across the Pittsburgh region. This year, Demi joins an incredible group of leaders representing community development, business, government, education, health care, the arts, technology, and more.

Since joining Neighborhood Allies in 2019, Demi has been a driving force behind our work to advance community-driven development and ensure that residents and neighborhood leaders have the resources, relationships, and capital they need to bring their visions to life.

Demi first joined our team as Senior Program Manager of Corridor Revitalization, bringing years of experience in community development and neighborhood planning, including work with the City of Pittsburgh and Operation Better Block in Homewood. Today, as Director of Community Investments, she helps lead Neighborhood Allies’ approach to investing in people, organizations, and projects that create lasting neighborhood-level change.

Those of us who have the privilege of working alongside Demi know just how deeply she cares about the residents, small businesses, and neighborhoods she serves. She pours herself into this work: showing up, listening, building trust, solving problems, and staying committed for the long haul. Her deep knowledge of Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods is matched by a genuine love for the people and places at the heart of them. That care is evident in the relationships she has built throughout her career and in the way she approaches every investment, partnership, and opportunity to support community-driven change.
