A positive outcome for a client at the FEC might mean reducing debt, increasing savings, increasing their credit score, and more!
The Allegheny County Financial Empowerment Center team had a lofty goal in 2025: for the clients they work with to achieve 1,000 outcomes. To do so, they knew they’d need to see between 500 and 700 unique clients for at least two sessions. During the last session of 2025, the number of outcomes officially hit 1,000!
These outcomes reflect a variety of improvements made with expert guidance from the counselors and sustained discipline on the part of the clients. The outcome achieved most frequently was “reduced delinquent accounts,” followed by “increased credit score by 35+ points,” “reduced non-mortgage debt by 10%,” “increased amount set aside for future,” and “opened a safe and affordable bank account.” These numbers don’t just reflect achievements for the counselors – more importantly, they are the necessary building blocks for home or business ownership, higher education, financial stability, and wealth building.
Congrats to Amber, Cameron, Chelsea, Ikuma, Jennifer, and Regina!
Some of the most exciting outcomes include:
- 55 safe and affordable bank accounts opened.
- 197 credit scores increased by 35+ points.
- $2,521,448 in debt reduced.
- $636,095 in savings accrued.
